Bol d'Or

A Bol d'Or é uma regata que acontece todos os anos em Genebra e que envolve centenas de barcos. O espectáculo é absolutamente deslumbrante. O lago torna-se cheio de velas coloridas, o céu contribui com balões multicolores, e a paisagem natural que cerca a cidade permitindo vislumbrar ao longe o Mont Blanc, dão um enquadramento único ao evento.

Tive a sorte de ser convidado para assistir à largada da regata numa casa privada de Genebra, sombranceira ao lago, numa posição absolutamente privilegiada. O rendez-vous foi pelas 8h30 da manhã, o que me obrigou a madrugar num sábado de manhã, mas felizmente os anfitriões tiveram a cortesia de oferecer um ligeiro pequeno-almoço a todos os convidados.

Foi um óptimo começo de Sábado.

The Bol d'Or regatta takes place in Geneva every year and it involves hundreds of boats. The image of it is absolutely staggering. The lake becomes full of multicolored sails, the sky with baloons, and the natural landscape sieging the city allowing to see in the distance the Mont Blanc gives a unique framing to the show.

I was lucky enough to be invited to attend to the regatta's start at a private Geneva mansion by the lake side. The rendez-vous was at 8h30 in the morning, which forced to me an early morning for a saturday, but fortunately the hosts provided croissants, coffee, tea and juices to the guests.

It was a fantastic start for the week-end.
