La Clusaz
Para quem não sabe, ou nunca imaginou, num dia de sol, estar no meio da neve a dois mil metros de altitude é muito agradável e quente. Não se sente uma ponta de frio. Fomos passar o dia de Sábado a La Clusaz e valeu muito a pena. Embora a vila não seja propriamente muito bonita, o dia estava de sonho, a paisagem era bonita e havia bastante neve. Tudo na companhia de amigos.
For those of you not aware, in a sunny day at 2000, and despite the snow, you don't feel the cold. We went for the day to La Clusaz and we had great fun. Although the town is not that nice, it was a wonderful day, the landspace was breathtaking, and there was loads of snow. All among friends.
Paris

Kremlin
O Kremlin é um complexo murado tendo os vários palácios do Czar, o palácio do Patriarca, várias igrejas, arsenal, etc... Como curiosidade podem ver o maior sino do mundo que, infelizmente, se rachou.
The Kremlin is a walled compound consisting of several buildings like the palaces of the Tsar, of the Patriach, many churches, the arsenal and so on... As a curiosity you can see the largest bell in the world which, unfortunetely craked.
Praça Vermelha/Red Square
Como já tive oportunidade de escrever a cor vermelha em russo é sinónimo de beleza e por isso "Praça Vermelha" é o mesmo que dizer "Praça Bonita" e, com razão. Efectivamente a praça é muito bonita.
Ao fundo da praça está a igreja de São Basílio, no seu lado direito o muro do Kremlin, bem como o memorial ao Lenin (vide foto abaixo), e do lado esquerdo um centro comercial absolutamente único (nem no Dubai tinha visto algo igual).
As I've already had the chance to say in Russian the colour "red" is a synonimous for "beautiful" and thefore the "Red Square" is equivalent of the "Beautiful Square". Most rightly so, because the square is indeed very beautiful.At the end of th square you find Saint Basil's Cathedral, on the right the walls of the Kremlin and the Lenin memorial and on the left hand-side one of the most amazing shopping malls I've ever seen (not even in Dubai).

Esta é a magnífica catedral de Moscovo, construída para celebrar a vitória russa sobre as tropas francesas de Napoleão, e destruída nos anos 30 por Estaline para construir uma piscina! Sem comentários...
Foi reconstruída por Boris Ieltsin e foi aqui o seu velório. O primeiro velório religioso de um chefe de Estado russo em mais de 100 anos.
This is the magnificent cathedral of Moscow, built to celebrate the Russian victory over the French troops of Napoleon, and destroyed in the 30's by Stalinn to build a swimmingpool! No comments...It was rebuilt by Boris Ieltsin and his funeral took place here. The first religious funeral of a Russian head of state in more than a year.
Hotel Cosmos
Foi aqui onde fiquei. Um hotel ex-libris dos tempos soviéticos. Uma experiência, mas não tão diferente (pelo menos hoje em dia) de um hotel ocidental.
Cosmos por causa dos cosmonautas russos e na entrada está uma estátua do Iuri Gagarin o primeiro cosmonauta.
This is the hotel where I stayed a former ex-libris of the Soviet era. An experience, but at least today not so far away from Western standards.Cosmos is named after the Russian cosmonauts, and at the entrance the statue of the first man in space: Yuri Gagarin.
São Basílio (Moscovo)/Saint Basil (Moscow)
Esta é a catedral de São Basílio muitas vezes confundida como sendo o Kremlin. A catedral encontra-se em plena Praça Vermelha, e vista "ao vivo" é tão bonita como aparenta ser nas fotos.
Nota: Praça Vermelha não tem nada a ver com bolcheviques nem com comunismo. Vermelho em russo é sinónimo de bonito e, por isso, Praça Vermelha quer dizer a praça bonita.
This is the cathedral of Saint Basil very often mistaken for the Kremlin. It's located in the Red Square, and "alive" it's as beautiful as it seems in the photos.Note: The Red Square has nothing to do with bolcheviks or communists. Red in Russian stands for beautiful, and therefore this is the beautiful square. 
Moscovo com neve - Moscow with snow
Durante os quatro dias da minha estadia a temperatura oscilou entre os -5C e os -10C. Pode parecer muito frio, mas a verdade é que se aguentava bem, ou pelo menos eu aguentei resultado do entusiasmo de estar em Moscovo de férias em pleno Inverno, em pleno mês de Janeiro.
Geralmente o tempo esteve bom, com sol, mas no último dia fui presenteado com neve. Nevou o dia inteiro e foi fantástico. Ir a Moscovo em Janeiro e não ter neve é como ir a Roma e não ver o Papa.
Não sei se o Francisco achou a mesma graça que eu ter que limpar o gelo e a neve do carro, mas eu gostei...
During my stay in Moscow the temperature band was -5C and -10C. It may seem cold, mas honestly I couldn't feel it, perhaps as a result of the excitement to be in Moscow during the peak of Winter, in the middle of January.In general the weather was fine, with sunshine, but in my last day I was greeted with lots of snow. Indeed, not having snow in Moscow during Winter is like going to Rome and not seeing the Pope.I'm not sure if Francisco enjoyed cleaning the car and the drive, but I certainly did...
Café Pushkin - Moscovo
O café Pushkin em Moscovo é uma experiência fantástica. Tudo é bom. O enquadramento histórico, arquitectónico e decorativo, o excelente serviço e obviamente pelos doces fabulosos. Sinceramente, a dificuldade estava na escolha, tudo tinha um aspecto fabuloso, deliciosíssimo. O chocolate quente era verdadeiramente chocolate quente e não um leite aguado com "cola-cao" como o que se vende aqui na Suiça. Para quem for a Moscovo o café Pushkin é um lugar a visitar.
The café Pushkin in Moscow is a unique experience. Everything there is outstanding. The historical framing, it's architecture and decoration, the amazing service, and obviously for the fabulous pastry. This was one of the few times in my life where I had trouble deciding for a desert. Everything looked simply fabulous. The hot-chocolate they serve is the real stuff, not the waterish, milkish, powder-like thing you find around in Switzerland. For those going to Moscow café Pushkin is a must.
